Beech Tree Publishing

Beech Tree published three international, peer-reviewed academic journals. They had readers in over 120 countries, mainly in universities and government. They were all on public policy for science and technology, research, or environmental, social, health and other impacts. Impact Assessment and Project Appraisal – environmental, social, health, etc. impact assessment, published for the International Association for Impact Assessment. This journal moved to Taylor and Francis at the beginning of 2012.

Beech Tree Publishing was a small, independent publisher, run by William Page. He retired at the end of 2011, and Beech Tree closed then. He was a Research Fellow at the Science Policy Research Unit, University of Sussex, 1971–1980. He then edited the journal Futures for two years before setting up Beech Tree in 1982. It was a member of the UK Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers.
